Heaven on Earth by Sara Madderson

Thank you to Anne of Random Things Tours and Sara Madderson for the invitation to join the blog tour and a copy of the book to review. This is the third book I’ve read and reviewed by Sara – see my reviews at https://mentoringmumof2bookreviews.home.blog/2021/03/03/the-winters-fail-by-sara-madderson/ and https://mentoringmumof2bookreviews.home.blog/2020/11/04/parents-and-teachers-by-sara-madderson/

If you are inspired by my review to buy a copy of this book, I’m pleased to confirm that it is currently available on Kindle Unlimited and is just 99p in ebook format on Amazon during this blog tour.

Synopsis:

TWO GUYS. ONE CHOICE. IT’S OBVIOUS, RIGHT?

Sadie has one job: to court the press and put Sorrel Farm on the map.

She doesn’t suffer fools. She knows what she wants—in work and in love. And she always gets what she wants.

Ned is the farm’s quiet, intellectual Finance Director. And he’s smitten.

He’s got so much to give. If only Sadie could be bothered to look below the surface…

Danny is everything Ned is not: overtly sexy, overtly flirtatious and extremely self-assured. But there’s something off about him…

It’s obvious who the more attractive proposition is. Well, it’s obvious to everyone but Sadie.

Join Sadie’s messy love triangle and reunite with your favourite characters from Food for Thought:Evelyn, Angus, Zoe and more!

My thoughts:

Although I’ve read and enjoyed a couple of Sara’s books before, I hadn’t read the first book in the Sorrel Farm series (Food for Thought). However Sara quickly provides an update at the start of the story, so this book can be easily read without having read Food for Thought.

Sorrel Farm sounds amazing and I wanted to stay there or move in. The food sounded delicious and the facilities exceptional. I read this book at the start of half term and this was my escape from reality (sadly we aren’t going anywhere this holiday).

As the synopsis suggests, this is also a relationship dilemma for Sadie. Should she get involved with someone at work after just starting her new job? This is a non spoiler review so I’m not going to spoil the story but I can share that there are some hot and steamy scenes in this book that left this reader blushing.

Happy to say that this is another fun and relaxing read by Sara Madderson, featuring interesting characters and fabulous locations. I look forward to returning to Sorrel Farm in the future (book 3 – When Then Becomes Now has recently been published).

Author Bio:

Sara Madderson is an author, entrepreneur, wife and mother. She was born in Ireland and moved to the UK with her family when she was ten years old. She lives in London with her husband Chris, their two children, Paddy and Tilly, and their cocker spaniel Charlie.

Before turning to writing, Sara worked in finance for a decade and then ran her own fashion brand, Madderson London, for eight years. She earned her MPhil in Early Modern History from the University of Birmingham.

Metamorphosis is Sara’s first book. Given that she spent most of her childhood writing and designing clothes, she’s now seen both of her childhood career dreams come true! She’s enjoyed the adventure of publishing independently as much as she’s enjoyed the writing process itself. She’s now completely hooked on writing!
