All The Wicked Games by Lauren North

Are you ready to play?

Best friends Cleo and Rachel spend their evenings pretending to be people they’re not, inventing elaborate stories to escape the monotony of their real lives. It’s all harmless fun – until they play the game on the wrong person…

It’s your move now.

Five years later, Cleo is still struggling to come to terms with the night that destroyed her friendship with Rachel and almost cost them their lives. And then she receives a text: Rachel is missing. Have you seen her?

There’s only one person to blame.

Wracked with guilt for failing Rachel the last time they were in danger, Cleo races to find her friend. But could the past be repeating itself? Only this time, they’re caught up in a far darker game.

The rules don’t matter when the goal is revenge.

My thoughts:

Thank you to Penguin Books (Transworld) for a digital review copy of All The Wicked Games by Lauren North via NetGalley to read and review. I’ve enjoyed reading Lauren’s previous books and you can read my last review at https://mentoringmumof2bookreviews.home.blog/2021/10/25/safe-at-home-by-lauren-north/ I’m sharing a mini non spoiler review today – the book was published last week.

This is another tense thriller from Lauren North. Having chatted to other book bloggers online, they also found it full of tension, twists and turns.

I read this whilst on holiday and found myself awake in the night trying to work out what was going to happen next. Lauren takes the reader backwards and forwards in time to find out what happened before, and why the friends ended up living separate lives.

Happy to recommend this addictive read and I look forward to reading more by Lauren in the future.
