This December, journey from sparkling London at Christmas to beautiful Cornwall for a romantic treasure hunt and prepare to lose your heart…
For as long as Cassie can remember, it had been the three of them: Cassie, her big brother Tom, and Tom’s cocky, gorgeous best friend Sam.
Now, Tom is sorted, Sam is flying high, and Cassie thinks she’s figured it all out. Then life takes an unexpected turn.
For Cassie starting again seems unimaginable. Until she finds an envelope with her name on it, with a letter asking her to follow a trail to one last gift.
And, suddenly, what seemed like an ending promises to lead Cassie to a love that is surprising and new… if she is brave enough to follow her heart…
My thoughts:
Thank you to Headline Books for the invitation to read and review a digital copy of One Last Gift by Emily Stone. I enjoyed reading Always in December by Emily Stone last year and you can read my review here : https://mentoringmumof2bookreviews.home.blog/2021/09/27/always-in-december-by-emily-stone-2/ I’m sharing a mini review today.
I loved reading Always in December last year for the blog tour and I was thrilled to have the opportunity to read Emily’s latest novel, published recently. One Last Gift is another beautifully written book that is full of emotion, loss and new beginnings, with a Christmas theme. It was a privilege to curl up with my kindle to join Cassie as she had to make some huge decisions about her future.
Happy to recommend this book – I suggest you have a box of tissues handy, it may be needed.
I was beside myself to be a character in this one. I love Emily Stone’s writing!
